Meet our 2021 IHRAF International Fellows
The IHRAF International Fellow program identifies outstanding creative activists and works with them over the course of a year to highlight their work, as well as introduce the International Human Rights Art Festival into their country and public. Fellows receive a quarterly stipend. .
Shashi Kadapa
Shashi runs and serves as the managing editor of ActiveMuse, a journal of literature and poetry and has published more than 210 authors from 42 nations. Born and educated in Dharwad, India, he lives in Pune, India where he runs his business management consultancy. He has published several cross-genres stories in various anthologies and writes human interest short fiction that create a wonderful narrative of life and the triumph of the human spirit. During his fellowship, Shashi will provide write ups and focused articles on different topics, while also initiating participative discussions on human interest and human rights topics from various countries.
Alessandro Ienzi
Alessandro Ienzi graduated in Law at the University of Palermo with full marks and honors. After, he attended the Master in International Relations and International Protection of Human Rights at the SIOI in Rome.
After practicing legal activity for a few years, he graduated as an actor and director at the School of the BIondo Theater in Palermo. For several years he performed as a protagonist in some of the main Italian and European theaters and in International Festivals. In 2017, he founded Raizes Teatro, an international theater company that has obtained critical acclaim since its inception and receives prizes and awards for theatrical innovation. For his fellowship with IHRAF, he launched Human Freedom 21, which is a yearlong program focused on utilizing the arts and theatre to promote human rights.
