Karlo Sevilla: The Boy on the Hill

“I began imagining this long poem way back in 2018, then with only its germ, i.e., the initial versions of its first and last stanzas. I even mentioned “working on it” in three different interviews around that time. Being chosen as a 2024 International Fellow of the International Human Rights Art Movement - coupled with deeply disturbing and compelling international news - has provided me the strongest impetus to finally realize this long-held dream. I’m eternally grateful to IHRAM for the opportunity to produce poetry projects.”
