Meet Tabassum Tahmina Shagufta Hussein

Bangladeshi poet and activist Tabassum Tahmina Shagufta Hussein was the IHRAF 2020 International Fellow, creating poems and essays for IHRAF throughout the year. Tabassum Tahmina Shagufta Hussein was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh and currently lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is the 2nd Korean Expatriate Literature Poetry Award winner,2021. She is the Bangla translator of ITHACA Foundation, Poetry Without Borders. She contributes to Our Time and The Good Morning, the print newspapers in Bangladesh featuring human rights and social issues.
