How do we work?
-
PUBLISHED WORKS ACCEPTED UNDER FIRST WORLD RIGHTS.
-
ALL RIGHTS REVERT TO THE WRITER UPON PUBLICATION.
-
WE'RE ONLY CURRENTLY ACCEPTING WORK THAT IS UNPUBLISHED.
-
The IHRAM Press was created with a simple goal: to celebrate and uplift up-and-coming authors from all over the world. Each of our contributors contend with their identities in the context of their environments, providing readers with their unique perspectives on issues of human rights.
IHRAM Press proudly provides a platform for these voices, offering a space for poetry and prose to resonate with reflections of emotion, hope, and the enduring connection to one’s identity. IHRAM Press has presented work from across 100+ countries and 42 states.

Before submitting your work, please make sure you've included all the essential supplemental information we need to review your work. You can find the full details in the Submission Guidelines on our Submissions page.
Once your work is submitted — congratulations, that’s a big step done! Our small editorial team will review your submission, along with many others we receive during that submission period.
Submissions are usually reviewed over the three months leading up to the deadline. After the deadline closes, our Editor-in-Chief will send out acceptance emails with details about the next steps.
If you haven’t heard back from us three months after the deadline, then unfortunately your work wasn’t selected at this time. But, we’ll let you know as soon as we can.

While we do our best to respond to every submission and, when necessary, provide feedback, high submission numbers can make that difficult as a small team, at times.
Whether your work is accepted or not, we'd love to see more submissions from you in the future.

If your work is accepted, you'll first receive an acceptance email along with our terms and conditions. We'll then send you an Author/Artist Agreement to sign before the editing process begins.
Our Editor-in-Chief will also reach out with more details about what to expect over the coming weeks.
Once the agreement is signed, our small editorial team will review your work and share any suggestions or comments. You'll receive a private Google Doc containing your piece, contributor bio, and contributor foreword. We'll ask you to review everything and make any final changes.
When both you and the editorial team are happy with the final version, it will be sent to our typesetter.
A few weeks or months before publication, you'll receive a final digital proof to review one last time and make any small corrections.
In the meantime, our Editor-in-Chief will guide you through marketing and promotion, including ways to help share and support your work and the publication.
On publication day, we'll notify you and send additional information about the release.
-
Accepted work is published under first world rights, and all rights return to the writer once the work is published.
Every contributor will receive an author/artist contract with full details about the terms and conditions.
